FAQ

Why should I buy my Glass Splashbacks from JL Colour Glass?

We are not your typical glazing business.

We specialize in Glass Splashbacks – all of our attention is focused on this product – that’s why we don’t sell wardrobe doors or fix broken windows Another major difference is – we do not surround our Glass Splashbacks with aluminium frames.

We provide frameless splashbacks that we measure to fit perfectly!

If you are after Glass Splashbacks for the sleek, spacious look then frames will not give you this look and frameless Splashbacks provide an easier cleaning area.

What are the benefits of Glass Splashbacks compared to tiles?

Glass Splashbacks are so much easier to clean!

There is no grout related mould to worry about – that means less time cleaning and better hygiene.

Glass Splashbacks make your room look more spacious & modern.

Glass Splashbacks brighten & lighten up the room because of their reflective surface, and they look great with electrical appliances.

When is the best time to get a measure & quote for my Splashbacks?

We can come out once your kitchen is completely installed (bench top & range hood in) and the electrician has finished the wiring for the power points and other cables that will protrude through the Glass Splashback.

Please email, fax or phone us with your approximate sizes – you will find if your measurement is accurate our price will be too.

We require a smooth straight surface (usually plasterboard or cement sheeting) to adhere the Splashbacks toIn some cases we can place your Splashbacks over the top of existing tiles, however, we do NOT recommend this method. You will lose bench space and if the Splashbacks are visible from the side, the tiles & Splashbacks will appear bulky.

Is there a warranty on the Splashbacks?

Yes. We offer a 7 year guarantee on fading & delamination.

We bond a durable, specially formulated paint onto our Splashbacks.

How long do Splashbacks take to be installed?
It takes approximately 7 to 10 working days from measure to installation time.

What about power points & cut-outs?

At the final site measuring, all power point & cut-out positions are determined prior to the product being manufactured. These positions cannot be altered. A power point cut-out size is 100mm x 60mm.
